Ezekiel 20:5 |
Ephesians 3:1-9 |
Perhaps the most important division in the Bible consists of the difference
between PROPHECY and the MYSTERY.
Prophecy belongs to God's chosen people, the nation of Israel. See Romans 9:4,5; Romans 3:1,2 Ezekiel 20:5. God chose His people Israel out from among the Gentiles. He then promised them a Deliverer: See Matthew 1:23 |
God's chosen people became disobedient.
God responded by postponing the promises that He had made to them.
On to the Gentiles: see Acts 13:46; 18:5-6; 26:16-17; 28:25-28 He raised up a new apostle and revealed to him a MYSTERY. This apostle, whose name became Paul, declared, "...by revelation He made known unto me THE MYSTERY ... which in other ages was not made known... That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs... of the same body ... in Christ. Ephesians 3:1-9 Also see Ephesians 2:13-22 |
