How to be Brothers/Sisters

Here is some Instruction in Righteousness
II Timothy 3:16

A glorious family, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing;
but that it should be holy and without blemish!
Ephesians 5:27

This is part of Paul's plan to grow as a church / family:
Part of the final product - fitly joined together!  Compacted by that which every joint supplieth!

With Abounding Charity Towards the Brethren

II Thessalonians 1:3,4  We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;  So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
This is:
Good stuff for Pastors and their church family!!!
Good for Dads and their home family!!!
Good for brothers / sisters!!!
Good for people/kids and their friends!!!
Amos 3:3 - Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Love One Another!
John 15:11-15  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
I Peter 1:22  Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Confess faults to one another!
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Pray for one another!
James 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Prefer one another!
(Prefer - Literally, to bear or carry in advance, in the mind, affections or choice; hence, to regard more than another; to honor or esteem above another.)
Romans 12:10  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Don't pay back one another!
Romans 12:17  Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

Receive one another!
Romans 15:7  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Admonish one another!
1.  To warn or notify of a fault; to reprove with mildness.
2.  To counsel against wrong practices; to caution or advise.
Romans 15:14  And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
II Thessalonians 3:14,15  And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.  Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Serve one another!
Galatians 5:13  For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Forbear one another
Ephesians 4:1-3  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;  Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Forgive one another
Ephesians 4:31,32  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Edify one another!
I Thessalonians 5:11  Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Exort one another!
Hebrews 3:12-14  Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Care for one another!
I Corinthians 12:23-27  And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.  For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:  That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.  And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Comfort one another!
I Thessalonians 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 5:11  Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Depart daily properly from one another!
Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Restore one another
Galatians 6:1-3 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Provoke one another to good works
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Submit to correct order
I Peter 5:5,6  Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Kids Teens - young adults, etc. - While it is true that God is not a respector of persons, you must remember that you are not God - even if your parents have taught you to think you are!  Do show the proper respect to the proper folks "above" you and don't abuse those "below" you!

Grace and Charity!
I Peter 4:7-10 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.  And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.  Use hospitality one to another without grudging.  As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Do the above and you won't...
Criticize one another
Correct one another (nit pic, put down, mock, but discuss)
Condone the others sin (II Thessalonians 3:14,15)

Satan accuses, not us!
Revelation 12:10,11  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

P.S.  Remember, dad isn't one of the 'boys' nor should he be treated or even act like he is - he is dad!  He is the father!  With his role comes more responsibility, etc.  Hebrews 13:7; 17 for example!!!

Same with the pastor - he isn't just one of the 'guys' nor should he be treated as such!
