Does your Bible have Biblical roots or Egyptian roots?
If you were to historically trace back your King James Bible, you would find your roots go back to ANTIOCH of Syria, where along with Jerusalem, it was the greatest center of the early Christian church. Located on the northeast corner of the Mediterranean Sea, about 20 miles inland, it was the third largest city in the Roman empire. Here the followers of Christ were first called Christian (Ac. 11:20-26), and here Paul began his ministry to the Gentile world (Ac. 13:1-4).
If you were to historically trace back any bible version other than the King James Bible, you would find your roots go back to ALEXANDRIA, Egypt, one of the three greatest Mediterranean cities during the era of the N.T. Located on the mouth of the Nile river in Egypt, it was founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C., and became one of the outstanding cities of Greek culture in early history. Its most famous building was the library which contained the greatest collection of books in ancient times, over 700,000 rolls or volumes. Alexandria ranked second only to Rome as chief city of the world in wealth and importance; and second only to Athens as a center of literature and science. Paul sailed twice from Alexandria during his missionary journeys (Ac. 2:10; 6:9; 18:24; 27:6).
The early church fathers Clement and Origen used Alexandria as their headquarters.
It should noted here that Clement and Origen were apostates who corrupted the Bible to fit their heretical doctrinal positions. Origen popularized the allegorical method of Bible interpretation which foists every sort of fanciful meaning upon the Scriptures. In loosing himself from the literal meaning of the Bible, Origen found support for such heresies as universal salvation, the pre- existence of the soul, and the animation of the stars.
Alexandria is the beginning of 'education'. The purpose? To prove that the holy scriptures were not holy. The man credited with starting this whole educational system was named Philo - thus the word philosophy. This man was not a christian and did not believe that the words of God were truly the words of God.
At the same time, a man named Lucian, as a Christian, took the words of God as they were penned. And took them literally. Thus, the words of God were part of the preservation promise as declared in Psalms 12:6,7. Those are the words that God inspired, preserved and kept for you to read today.
Let's see what God's opinion of Alexandria and Egypt are
as compared to what he thinks of Antioch. The question arises, "Why
would God 'bless' the work of 'corrupting' His words by giving them to
somebody in Alexandria, Egypt when God does not think well of Alexandria
nor of Egypt."
What is God's Opinion of Egypt
Gen 12:6-20 Abraham in wrong place - Egypt - a famine and near murder of his wife. Nice place!
Gen 37:36 Slavery - Nice place!
Ex 1:11+ Slavery - Nice place!
Called "House of Bondage" Nice
title!
Ex 13:3,14; Ex 20:2; Deut 5:6;
6:12; 13:5; Josh 24:17; Judges 6:8
Called "Iron Furnace"
Another nice title!
Deut 4:20; Jer 11:4; Ez 22:18,20
Deut 17:14-20 - None of God's kings are to go to Egypt! Not a nice place to go!
Jer 46:25 God puts out a big "woe" regarding Egypt. Not a good neighborhood, ya know!
Rev 11:8
The spiritual name for Jerusalem during the Tribulation is Sodom &
Egypt. (nice name!)
What is God's Opinion of Alexandria?
Acts 6:9+ Stephen was killed by men from there. Nice place!
Acts 18:24-28 Apollos was born and raised there. Alexandrian Jew with a great influence. He was an eloquent man, mighty in the scriptures - but was lost and was a big influence on people in their religion. After he was saved, he became a man mighty in the scriptures, but then as a Christian.
Quite a bit like a man of today named Frank Logsdon - a scholar who was part of the committee that 'corrupted' God's words into the NASB, but who later recanted and traveled the country trying to get pastors and people to go back to the KJV. A scholar turned Christian.
Acts 27:6 Ship of Alexandria carried Paul as a prisoner.
Acts 28:11
Ship of Alexandria carried Paul as a prisoner after the first one sank.
What is God's Opinion of Antioch?
Acts 6:5 A good man from Antioch
Acts 11:19-22 Good preaching done in Antioch
Acts 11:26,27 People were first called Christians in Antioch
Acts 13:1,2-
Work of the Lord being done there.
Acts 15:30,35
etc.
We also can make notice that from Antioch, in Acts 14:19, that the Jews from that city came to kill Paul.
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto
me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra;
what persecutions I endured: but out of
them all the Lord delivered me.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ
Jesus shall suffer persecution.
II Tim 3:11,12
We must remember, that today, most of our problems come from within 'Christianity' itself. The scriptures are corrupted by scholars of today. The world goes on about it's own business, yet God's own people go about destroying God's own words and it is the 'brethren' that we have to be most careful over.
Conclusion:
Bibles
You have one of these two
Bibles...
Antioch Bible - a bible that is inspired by God, preserved by God, infallible and perfect as written. The King James is the only Bible with that claim. Its history is traced back to Antioch.
Alexandrian Bible - This Bible is traced back to Alexandria and you believe these bibles can only claim some inspiration by God and most definitely does not have any preserved words. You believe that once man got ahold of the originals, man has changed many words and scriptures away from the original, even though nobody today has seen the originals; but you believe that at least the message and teachings of God are in that version. There are hundreds of versions available so that anyone can find the Bible that is easiest for them to understand and teach what they want to believe. After all, it is not the words of God that are important, it is the message and if you are sincere in your heart, God loves you for at least trying.
Philosophy
You have one of these two
philosophies
Antioch Philosophy - You
believe that God inspired and preserved His words exactly as He wants them
to be said in the English King James Bible - 1611. Each of those
words is Infallible, perfect, inerrant, preserved, pure and available!
You believe this KJV Bible can
be and should be our final authority in all matters of faith and practice
and can be studied, memorized, rightly divided, preached, believed and
lived upon daily.
Alexandrian Philosophy - You believe you can not have God's exact words as He supposedly promised, because through many translations and languages, man has just tarnished them in their exact form. The message from God is all that we have to study and that even is only available in earlier manuscripts of Greek and Hebrew. You basically need to know Greek and Hebrew to be able to get into the deep understanding of God and that can be done only through the scholars and pastors that have studied Greek and Hebrew or through a general comparisons of all the hundreds of Bible versions available - and then you become the judge of what you think God may have intended in that particular passage.
Which of these combinations represents
you the best?
You have an ...
1. Antioch Bible with an Antioch
Philosophy
or
2. Antioch Bible with an
Alexandrian Philosophy
or
3. Alexandrian Bible with
an Antioch Philosophy
or
4. Alexandrian Bible with
an Alexandrian Philosophy
If you are a number 1, then you are ready for God to use you. You believe Him and can use your Bible to live to please God. God can speak directly to you and give you His understanding to you. You have in your hands Gods words to study and live by. You should have no doubt as to what God says to you!
If you are a number 2, then you need to realize that God is not a liar and has given you His words. Do some research and find out that those other bibles are a lie and that you can trust God with the Book that you have in your hands.
If you are a number 3, then you have the right philosophy but the wrong book. Compare your version with KJV and see how many changes in words have taken place. In some versions, over 64,000 changes have been made affecting doctrine and quite possibly someone's' salvation. A fantastic study.
If you are a number 4, then
you are your own authority. You have no desire to hear what God has
to say as you believe you know more than God. You believe that you
have the miraculous ability to tell people what God says, even though you
yourself don't know what God has said, even though you don't have the originals
to compare to. But congratulations, you have fooled the people into
thinking that you know best and that God needs you to tell others what
YOU think God means here. The catholics are not the only ones with
a pope as you have become a pope to yourself and to others.
Please visit this site. Fablemen
This will tell you what God thinks
of people who teach fables and take people away from their Bible.
Oh, I am sorry - I forgot - you don't believe that the Bible is the Word
of God with God's own words, so it doesn't matter what the Bible says about
you teaching fables, as you can find some old manuscripts and bible versions
that don't say those things, anyway.
Remember, in Jeremiah 23:30-32, God talks about your kind of Bible and Philsophy...
Therefore, behold, I am against
the prophets, saith the LORD,
that steal my words every
one from his neighbour.
Behold, I am against the prophets,
saith the LORD,
that use their tongues, and
say, He saith.
Behold, I am against them
that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD,
and do tell them, and cause
my people to err by their lies,
and by their lightness;
yet I sent them not, nor
commanded them:
therefore they shall not
profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
All scripture is given by
inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
II Tim 3:16
For the prophecy came not
in old time by the will of man:
but holy men of God spake
as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
II Pt 1:21
God Promised to Preserve His Words
The words of the LORD are
pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace
of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD,
thou shalt preserve them
from this generation for ever.
Psalm 12:6,7
God Expects Us to Have the Very Words of Jesus Christ
If
any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words,
even the words of our Lord
Jesus Christ,
and to the doctrine which
is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing,
but doting about questions and strifes of words,
whereof cometh envy, strife,
railings, evil surmisings,
5: Perverse disputings of
men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth,
supposing that gain is godliness:
from such withdraw thyself.
I Tim 6:3-5
If you have am Authorized King James 1611 Bible, you have His words!
If you don't have a KJV 1611 Bible, you don't have God's words!
It is as simple as that!
