Let's Look at God Through...
|
John 4:34 -
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and
to finish his work.
John 5:30
- I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment
is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which
hath sent me.
John 6:38-40 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
1) An inheritance - all
which he hath given me - raise IT up
-------- the walk!
2) Give everlasting life
- believeth on him
- raise HIM up --------salvation!

Acts 9:16,16 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
I. RAISE "HIM" UP
(See I Corinthians 15:1+, I Corinthians 1:2)
Lay the foundation and then be concerned about the building the "IT."
I Corinthians 3:9,10 For
we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's
building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise
masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
We are rewarded with Christ's inheritance - the "IT."
Galatians 4:4-7
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made
of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law,
that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons,
God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba,
Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a
son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Romans 8:16,17
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children
of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
together.
...us to be blameless... I Cor 1:4-8
I thank my God always on your behalf, for
the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every
thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye
come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the
day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
...to impart to us spiritual gifts...
Romans 1:11 For I long to
see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye
may be established;
...preach the gospel... Romans 1:15
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are
at Rome also.
...prays for specific blessings and growth...
Ephesians 1:16-19; 3:16-19
...for us to find God's will in our life...
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Ephesians 5:14-17 Wherefore
he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ
shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools,
but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord
is.
Col 4:12 Epaphras,
who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring
fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in
all the will of God.
(I Corinthians 6:19,20...
We belong to Him - our "will" will burn,
but His "will" won't! - I Cor 3:11+)
